I've only made one of two of Block 1.  I'm already behind....giggle.

How Far Will You Go? QAL

This QAL just started on the 27th.  The title intrigued me.....so far I've scored one block.

So I think I can count this as my July

May I do it? Can I do it? WILL I do it?...........Giggle

I've taken over Big Mick's pool room.  My goal is to trim down the snowmen to the correct size.  Something I didn't think too much about before adding all the bumpy decorations.

We'll see if I get one block trimmed today. ;)

Don't forget to check out all the linkys for Monday.

I Spy..........Not a Happy Camper

This sweet little Bluejay spotted my cat Elly sitting in the window and was not happy at all.
He fussed for about 10 minutes straight....until Elly left the window.

Free-Motion Quilting for July and How do you blog again??

My July FMQAL

  I started (bottom left) better than I ended (top left), but it was kinda fun.  If my brain didn't short out in the middle, I might be able to do this.

Look who liked my FMQ the best.  Elly has a new toy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Grand Kids were here for 10 days, and then Mick and I took a mini vacation at Coushatta.
I'm having to figure out blogging again.  Phew!  I can't wait to see what the 70's bring....65 is kicking my butt.
I'll be sharing my computer with 4 grand kids for a week or two so I probably won't be blogging or sewing....Grin.  Hope I get some sweet hugs.  They are older now and it's becoming a challenge.
Monday, Monday........slowly sewing
My Design Wall Monday is on my machine.  Still truckin' along on my second Sew Spooky block.  I spent two hours trying to make some yoyos for the spiders....Not working.  I'll think of some other way.  Maybe I'll catch a spider from outside and preserve him....LOLLL...yes I'm quickly losing it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We actually got a few showers in Texas the last couple of days with a few more promised.  Right now it's only 91 degrees.....:)

I 'bravely' left the house (I know that's a shocker), and went to 3 quilt stores in the last couple of days.  I know why I shop online for sales.  I paid $11.25 for one yard of Halloween fabric....good grief Charlie Brown!  That's well past my budget.

We also went to visit Mom.  She remembered fabric being 4 cents a yard.  Now that's unbelievable but true.  Great visit.  Mom is looking well, and we were both in a great mood at the same time...giggle.  Especially after eating at El Gallo.  Our favorite Mexican place.

Here's some Monday linky spots.

Go visit It's Sew Kiki and see the burning question....smile

I went to visit Kiera's blog today at It's Sew Kiki....Faith, Family, and Home  I was leaving a comment about her post "Enough!" and ended up with a mini blog.....grin....in response with no solution to my same problem.....mostly because I'm just too lazy to deal with it.  It's an interesting question.  Go and visit Kiera today....loved her post.

..................................

I'm old and fat now so clothes are no longer a temptation to me, but I'm a collector....it started with Cabbage Patch dolls, baseball cards, beanies...you name it I've had fun collecting. I'm currently hooked on fabric, but the price per yard is curing that addiction all by itself.

But now what? Do I sew or spend hours, days, months clearing out my stuff. Do I just leave it for the kids to tackle??

On top of all that my Mom is 91 and is passing all her special items on to me....boxes and boxes of genealogy and keepsakes. The garage is full and the house. It's all pretty neat so I wouldn't qualify for hoarders TV show.

It's impossible to get all the information she had worked so hard for on the computer although I'm trying.

I must say it overwhelms me so I just go sew......grin. Someone will enjoy the estate sale after I'm gone.

Applique Thursday, Sew Spooky, and Puzzles

I'm stilllllll cutting pieces for my next Sew Spooky block.  I can see that I need to sit down and really read these instructions.....hmmmm.  Yes, something is not clicking yet..:))

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm sooo sleepy.
I spent the better part of my life working jigsaw puzzles.  Big Mick was never interested.  Well not anymore.  He's hooked.  He kept me up until almost 3 a.m. wanting to finish the current puzzle.  Of course, two pieces are missing.  I told him it wasn't a good idea to vacuum while a puzzle is in progress.....giggle.....he said he checked carefully and there were no pieces on the floor.
You can either work a puzzle or worry about the floor.  You can't do both.
Don't forget Applique Thursday at Angie's.
